Personal Injury

Vehicular crashes and slip and fall accidents are the most common forms of accidents producing personal injuries. In certain cases, these accidents produce fractures, however more frequently there are injuries to the soft tissues or connective tissues, i.e. ligaments, tendons, muscles, discs, nerves and blood vessels. These injuries are often difficult to assess, quantify, and manage for the family practice doctor or internal medical specialist. In most cases, if the patient does not respond to an anti-inflammatory or muscle relaxant in the first two weeks they have very little more to offer.  Pharmaceuticals are often prescribed to treat the symptoms (pain) caused by the underlying condition. In contrast, cold laser therapy (LLLT) is able to influence the pathology directly at the cellular level, resulting in therapeutic benefits that are more profound and indeed curative.

Likewise, if the patient is not a surgical candidate, the orthopedic specialist has very little to offer these patients in the way of treatment.

Leading Method

LLLT from LaserIntervention has become widely recognized as the leading method for the treatment of various injuries to the skin and other soft tissues. Cold laser therapy not only addresses the pain caused by the injury, but actually expedites the healing process. A recent multicentre double-blind placebo-controlled clinical study observed 132 patients suffering from various soft-tissue injuries resulting from sports activities and traffic accidents that were treated low-level laser therapy. The results where overwhelmingly conclusive; the recovery process was accelerated in 85 percent of patients treated with LLLT compared to the control group of patients. The results and advantages obtained proved once again the efficacy of LLLT as a new and successful way to treat soft tissue injuries. For a full copy of this report please click here.

LaserIntervention will determine the appropriate treatment protocol based on information obtained in the patients’ initial consultation. The laser is administered with patented 180 laser diode pads placed on the skin that can directly cover the entire treatment area. The treatment is completely painless and works to stimulate healing at the cellular level and by increasing circulation, stimulation of inactive cells and DNA production to the injured area thus promoting and expediting healing. LLLT also stimulates the natural release of endorphins – the body’s natural pain killer.
